The Segway Scooter has been gaining increased popularity in the past few years. They are ideal for inter-city travel, especially in dense urban areas, such as Chicago or New York City. In some areas, Police use them to patrol, and even tours of historical sites and moments are offered on Segways.

Unlike traditional scooters, the Segway Scooter has a self-balancing device that keeps a person upright. The i2 Cargo is essentially a cargo upgrade for the i2 Commuter, offering better and more storage capacity. The cases are hard, waterproofed, locking, and can hold up to 30lbs of storage. The i2 Cargo is designed for a user who would haul equipment, groceries, or other items regularly. This upgrade will cost an additional $1500 to $2000 over the base price of the i2.

Segway x2

The Segway x2 model is designed to be a bit more rugged, and will support off-road travel. It normally comes equipped with all-terrain tires, allowing for travel over environments the basic model won’t – such as gravel, dirt, and sand. The x2 model costs between $6,500 and $7,500 = with a new model costing as much as $8,500 or so.
The Segway x2 Turf is very similar to the x2 base model, but has upgraded tires for more offroad travel and harsher terrain. These are exceptionally popular on golf courses, as they can navigate sensitive ground (such as putting greens) without leaving any marks. The x2 Turk model costs $500 to $1000 more than the x2 base model.

The Segway x2 Adventure model is designed for longer outdoor use. It features cargo plates, an area for water storage, and features that benefit someone who would use the Segway on trails or camping. This model costs an additional $1000 to $1500 over the x2 base model.
